Hello!

I'd have a question regarding updating records.
Although I found similar topic in the forum but somehow it didn't help me, but probably it's easy...

I've a very simple 3-tables app. In the third table add record page, I'm selecting a record from the second table by a dropdown menu. After selectedindex has changed it updates three text fields, with getcolumnvalue function, gathered from that table. Only one thing is needed: when I update/change one of these fields, by clicking to the save button it should be saved the updated data to the second table.

Could you please give instructions how to do it?
Thanks in advance!

Are you trying to save the same data to two tables? If so, you can use a trigger on the first table to save the data to the second table "on save" and not change your form or app code.

Hi!

Actually the three fields not exist in the third table. There is only a one-to-many relationship between the tables and by changing the dropdown menu in the add-record page it simply obtains 3 data from the parent table. But when I click to the save button it should be saved to the parent table.

Is this feasible?
Thanks!
