OK, it has been three years and IronSpeed Designer is still being managed like a live program with new seats being sold.

It is ridiculous that I have to keep naming my new machines the same name, uninstall, and then reinstall to get ISD running on them.

Isn't it about time to put the licensing scheme to bed? We paid for the program when IronSpeed was still in business and it is a hassle to keep it running.

Please eliminate this licensing requirement so we don't have to go through all this hassle to keep using the product on our applications that we just can't afford to move to something else.

The statement they made back when IronSpeed closed down was that they didn't want to release the application into the public domain because it wasn't fair to all of us that paid for licenses. I would have rather they asked us and put into the public domain.

No kidding.

The hard part for me is I can't afford to switch to something else. Both cash and resources are short right now so I'm pretty much stuck.

If they would just remove the licensing it would help. I suppose that isn't even possible anymore.

Or they could simply send out like 25 keys to everyone. That would at least make is less painful.

Yeah.. I have imaged my machine, but even that is not a permanent solution as it seems to attack itself every now and then, forcing you to reactivate- or the licensing gets broken through .Net upgrades. Have you applied the firewall rules?
