Anyone ever implement a progress bar or some other wait notification during saves?

Rob,

I believe there is already a default one for generated pages (UpdatePanels).  For example open an add page (aspx) and look for ajaxUpdatePanel.  There you’ll see the image source; ../Images/updating.gif.  You could replace the image with your own.

If you’re not seeing the indicator the save may not be taking long enough.

Thanks, Phil.  I do see that code.  The page is an edit record page with parent record and child table.  During the table savedata() for the child table I am looping through the records before saving the row data (changing values and posting to a web service).

I think the save itself is relatively fast, but this looping puts an extra bit of time in there- maybe an extra 10 seconds for 25 records... Do you have any idea if that would also trigger the update? Any way to trigger it manually that you know of?
