If coding was not considered to be weak, Iron Speed could give us the option of having convience methods like this generated for us. Or perhaps someday a real API into the code generator, so that we could easily do this as part of extending what is otherwise a wonderfull product. Alas, that day will likely never come.

This is a pretty common alternative on Page's classes of Wed applications.
Another simple option is to make public declaration at the top of section 1 like: public System.Web.UI.WebControls.TextBox CustomerID; Then you can refer to the CustomerID anywhere within the same class. Cheers, Jimi J __________________
