Hi ,
        My requirement is when number of total texts go more than 255 in field call "description"  then i want to stop him by message that "Maximum words are  255 allow for description". Please see in attached image. What is the best way to stop user and allow max 255 words?

Note : i  want this validation before user click save button.

I would suggest to just count the length (if ControlName.Text.Length > 255) on TextChanged event and prompt a message if exceeded. Or you may do it before calling the saving routine.

Jim - Thank you so much for replying me back.

This is good. I  put the code at textchanged event ,  But the solutions you provided is giving me the error message when i stop typing.Example like, if i typed 300 texts and going to  next field then i got the error message with your suggestion.  I want the message when i  reach at 256 number of text.
