If you think you spotted a bug in Iron Speed Designer or in applications generated by Iron Speed Designer, chances are we don't know about it! Nearly all bugs are reported by only one person, so help us out and let us know about them. We can't fix what we don't know about!
Who can report a bug?
Anyone can submit a bug report -- you don't need an active technical support subscription and you don't even have to be a customer.
How to report a bug
Submit bug reports to Iron Speed Technical Support at http://www.ironspeed.com/support1, and go to the Support Cases section. When submitting a bug report, please be sure to select "Bug Report" as the case type.
What to submit
We need to reproduce the bug to fix it, so please include or attach:
- A Zipped copy of the database schema and application;
- Screen shot of any error messages
- Detailed description of when you see this bug
- Whether bug is in Iron Speed Designer or in the generated application
- If possible, a flash demo of how to recreate the bug
Our Engineering department will try to reproduce every bug report.
Which bugs get fixed?
Bug fixes are prioritized based on a number of factors including number of users affected, the part of the product impacted, how often it happens, how easy it is reproduce, etc. Our Engineering group determines these priorities and they constantly change based on new reports and other tasks. We cannot give you a time frame when bugs will be fixed. Some bugs may never be fixed because they happen very rarely and in special circumstances, or because we cannot reproduce them.
But, we can't fix what we don't know about, so please tell us! (Did I say that before?)
How do I know when a bug has been fixed?
Our policy is to notify by email those who have reported a bug when we release a fix. Only those who have submitted a bug report to our Technical Support department will be notified because that's how we track bugs internally. So, if you want to be notified, please submit a bug report, even if you know someone else has reported the same bug.
We realize we can't make a perfect product, but with your help, we can make it better. Thanks in advance for your help!
