export excel
Is possible to  view both the primary key that the foreign key in the same excel file?

I have 2 tables: Customers and Orders.
I would like to export to excel, from the Orders table orders with the customer id and the customer description. Currently I extract only the customer description.

thank you very much

You can use the code customization wizard and do the Export Data "Customize Exported File Columns" You might also want to check the database tab and see what the default value is for viewing CustomerID on the table.  It may default to showing the Customer description.  Sometimes I find it easier just to create a database view that has the columns and column headings that I want only, include that in the DB, and make a showRecords page for that view.  Then the report pops out exactly how you want it to without having to do the code customization.

Could you give me some sample C# codes to help me export data from Visual Studio to Excel. I want to count while scanning the barcodes. And the barcode reader sdk that I bought did not support this function. So I want to outout the scanning results to Excel, then I can sum up the results quite easily.

The canned Excel exports built into ISD just export the table data on a page.
If you want to export customized data or reports you have to do it via code customizations.

One option is to use a report generator.  Another option is to use one of the Excel tools (like EPPlus or Open XML.)  Take a look at thread:

and here's a thread from awhile back where I asked for input on the various reporting tools that folks were using:

I am not sure if it is the right place to ask help.
I bought a barcode generator SDK: Barcode Generator for Crystal Report
http://www.businessrefinery.com/products/barcode_crystal_report/main.html
It is easily installed and used, but i have no idea how to output the data and generated barcode images to PDF?
Any help would be appreciated.

Well, if you want to export and save your tables of Customers and Orders into excel file, you can refer to an excel converting tool. Then load the tables that need to be saved and converter, and click the convert the button, the tables can be easily converted and exported as excel file.

Hi, me again. I am also interested in the barcode library that combined with excel document. Can we just use a searched online excel barcode add-in to create barcode on excel document?
