Changing the Project Name is just easy as typing over the text to the desired name. However, namespace stuck to the old name.

Cheers,

You can change the NAMESPACE of the project as well, however it requires Visual Studio in order to do a global change.  Make sure you have backed up your project first!

For ISD-9X generated apps with Dot Net 3.5 framework or earlier, I had succeeded using this tutorial but have not tried with newer versions:

Has anyone ever tried the approach in the video with version 12? I have but once I have made all the changes recommended, when I try and open the renamed app in Iron Speed Designer it simply says "cannot open application" - no error message other than that. I have tried other approaches such as copying the entire application folder and then renaming the applicationname in web.config and the database name, and when the app opens on the sign-in form I get "Object reference not set to an instance of an object.".

If anyone has successfully replicated an app and renamed it I would be grateful for any advice.

Thanks

Guy

Hi Guy,

That tutorial didn't work with ISD 12.20 Net 4.5 up.

FYI.

I just copy/paste the entire application folder.  Then create a new virtual directory/application in IIS.  Oh, and change the web.config as required for a different database etc.

HTH,
