Good news indeed!  Probably too late for the currently moribund Iron Speed, but you never know!  Here is hoping to a brighter 2017!

Looks like they finally ruled on this. See below.

"I believe you can still reach Alan with this email add: afisher@ironspeed.com "

Reaching him is easy, getting a response with any substance is a whole other issue.

Anyone who was hoping that Iron Speed would make some miraculous comeback should be weary based on the lack of communication from anyone at the company in almost 2 years now.

Folks,
I don't normally respond to posts attempting to 'call me out' but in this case I'll make an exception since Mr. Scrime sent me this email this morning.

Thanks for censoring my post.  That and Your reply to Wayne all but confirmed everything I said.

Jeremy

I'm not sure what you mean when you accuse me of censoring your post.  I have not deleted or 'censored' your forum post.  Perhaps you are referring to something else.

Frankly, I do not understand why you made your post yesterday.  Iron Speed is no longer in business so I'm not sure why you would expect ongoing communication from a defunct company.  As you say, nobody's home - because there are no employees anymore.

You seem to think that our going out of business was somehow shady (your words in an earlier post) and that we should have notified customers sooner.  We notified customers the moment it became obvious to the Board and our senior management that shutting down was the only course of action available!  Customers couldn't have been notified any earlier, because we ourselves didn't know any earlier.

Moreover, we maintained our technical support services for customers for four months after shutting down and continued license and sales support long after that.  By the way, this extra technical support and customer service was performed against the advice of our legal counsel. They advised us to simply shut our doors, 'go dark' and return the remaining cash to our investors, which is what nearly all companies here in the valley do when they go out of business.  Instead, we elected to help our customers transition as best we could.  The fact this forum remains open is an example of that.

As to my reply to Wayne in another forum thread, I simply thanked him for his kind words.  I'm not sure what more you could read into that, but apparently you did.

And by the way, my name is Alan, not Allen.

I am very thankful that Alan, in spite of IronSpeed being closed already, still maintaining this forum to help us smoothen our respective transitions to whatever direction we want to go. Everyone is free to leave anytime. However, for those who are undecided yet, this forum can still be a great help. I expect nothing more but just to keep this forum alive.

God bless you Alan!

Hi

Allen and team have done everything to keep the ISD community going
in spite of  unfortunate closure. We should thank them for all times.
Keeping this forum alive and also the licensing server is a thankless job
.. they could have washed their hands off..

Dear Allen
only one request..
the outage of licensing server is giving sleepless nights and many a times
heartbreak. If you could find a solution for this it will be great.

best regards
Krishna

Good Day to you all...
Even though ISD is closed down, I believe it was a great lose especially ISD is so powerful and successful product I ever used for the last 28 years. I believe there must be something we can do to bring back ISD, with another name or another country where this patent case will not apply. I am based in Lebanon right now and I am willing to partner and invest with others to launch ISD again under another name or company in Lebanon. I am sure there are many companies now days would wish to use such a product to quickly develop their solutions to meet their business needs.
if we all an continue to support ISD community I am sure in due time there will be a way to get back again. Never give up...
Regards
Joe

Me too!

I found a nice opensource framework that could help with a possible ressurection of IronSpeed Designer. Dotvvm: dotvvm.com.

Best Regards!
